'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 renewal news: Incites speculation of murder case
Season 2 of "How to Get Away with Murder" has been given the green light and fans are already predicting as to which murder case will be up next for investigation. According to Franchise Herald, the discovery of the person behind Lila's murder in the previous season only raised more questions instead of answers to the show's never ending string of mysteries.
In the first season, the students accurately determined that Sam Keating, Annalise Keating's husband and the professor and lover of Lila was the person responsible for her death. Though some were right of suspecting that he hired people to carry out the crime for him, he was the sole mastermind behind the murder.
Cast member, Viola Davis, who plays Annalise, found the bizarre turn of events of the characters' relationship exciting. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress candidly said, "I love that idea, I never thought of that! That is very exciting. When you explore the kind of unusual relationship - like with Bonnie and Annalise - those create the best OMG moments, especially when you think that a relationship may be going in another direction. It's a whole other mystery that's exposed that adds another layer to the character. It's also something I have never seen on network TV."
She continued to explain that, "those types of relationships can only take place in Shondaland but I would love for that to be the case. I don't know what they are going to explore with the history of Rebecca and Lila in terms of Sam and these relationships with Lila. But Frank and Annalise? I'll go for it!"
Meanwhile, Charlie Weber, who plays the role of Frank Delfino, let fans in on a few details about the second season of "How to Get Away with Murder" and told E! Online that they would have been shocked if they weren't renewed for season 2. He continued to clarify that he knows nothing about how the story will go and explained, "That's the beauty of it. It is wide open. There are so many places we could go."
