Fans are eagerly awaiting the fourth season of "House of Cards," and some are already concerned that another major character might not make it until the end of the series.

It is no secret that showrunner, Beau Willimon, is not one to shy away from killing any major characters from his show. Last season, fans saw the death of Zoe Barnes, played by Kate Mara. And now, fans of the show are hoping that Doug Stamper is not the next victim on Willimon's hit list.

Michael Kelly, who plays Stamper on the show, is seen as the right hand man of Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood. In season two, Stamper was already close to getting axed when he was hit by Rachel Posner, played by Rachel Brosnahan, who left him out in the forest to meet his demise.

But fans should be happy to know that Stamper is not going anywhere. In a previous report, Willimon has even told Kelly, "I'm not getting rid of you."

And in an interview with Deadline.com, the actor teased his involvement or rather, lack of involvement in the upcoming season and said,

"I was alive at the end of [season] three, that's all I can say. I wouldn't be surprised if Beau was behind my bedroom door right now. I put nothing past him."

Fans have also suffered a massive shock during the season finale, when Claire Underwood, played by Robin Wright, said she was planning on leaving Frank. There is no word yet if the couple would still be together come the start of the fourth season.

Meanwhile, movienewsguide reports that Neve Campbell will be joining the show. But there is still no official word on who she will play.

"House of Cards" season four will premiere on February 2016 and would run for 13 episodes.
