House of Cards Season 3 spoilers: Is Doug truly dead?

While Season 2 of Netflix's 'House of Cards' provided some much needed answers to questions raised in the political drama, it did not tie up all the loose ends completely. This makes House of Cards Season 3 all the more interesting, and deserving of anticipation from House of Cards faithful.
Now that Frank Underwood is already president, Season 3 will have him and his family living in the White House. Season 2 saw the death of Doug Stamper, Frank's trusted aide of whose death he is unaware.
Doug missed Frank becoming president, which he had contributed to achieve. Well, House of Cards showed his blood-filled body which, when not dead, may have him land in the hospital for a long time.
For Rachel, she is the woman Dough loved and manipulated. With Doug being dead, she has become free; but she is anxious how to report Doug's remains and not become a suspect. She could use self-defense as a good reason, but Frank could come out and lock her up. This part and Doug's death are hotly anticipated topics in the coming season.
Regarding Gavin Orsay and his sidekick Cashew, Gavin will still want to get away with being an informant. His friend Cashew is as charming as always, even if he has encountered countless traumas.
Mrs. Frank Underwood, Claire, played by Robin Wright (who said she is now more into directing, than acting), is a cool scene stealer who greatly matches her on-screen better half, Kevin Spacey.
While Spacey plays the role of Frank well, Claire Underwood's ice-cool presence, is the drama's most fascinating character. She was seen in Season 2 breaking down after a visit by a rape victim named Megan Hennessey.
Claire's weeping was in a way telling of her guilt, knowing that her husband too is so evil. However, how long can she hold on before she completely breaks? As she becomes the first lady it brings the expectations that she will have a lot more on her plate in the 3rd season.
