'Homeland' season 5 episode 10 spoilers: Carrie discovers Quinn's in danger; Dar Adal not sure Allison is guilty

"Homeland" season five is already in the home stretch and the pace and intensity have ratcheted up. With Allison's double dealing ways exposed and Quinn in danger, the series appears headed to another spectacular and game changing finale.

The previous episodes saw "Homeland" fans, and Saul (Mandy Patinkin), finally learning the truth about Allison's (Miranda Otto) true nature and the reason she became a double agent for Russia. Episode nine also showed how Saul tried to process and deal with his lover's perfidy as well as the tortures that Quinn (Rupert Friend) is facing.

And with just three episodes remaining before the series wraps up its fifth season, fans are starting to become concerned about Quinn's fate. This concern will undoubtedly be doubled now that the trailer for episode 10, "New Normal," has been released.

The trailer starts with Carrie (Claire Danes) telling Astrid (Nina Hoss) that she's trying to figure out what happened to Quinn. A longer clip of this particular scene shows the two women discussing Quinn's condition, ending with the agent's former lover to promise Carrie that she will backtrack surveillance and try to find out what happened to Quinn.

The trailer also shows the terrorist group going on TV with a warning for the UN Security Council that they only have 24 hours before they execute Quinn. Carrie looks on in horror as Quinn is seen on TV, standing but tied up and with appears to be a noose around his neck.

Allison tells Adal (F. Murray Abraham) that she can "help stop this thing," followed by a shot of Carrie saying that she's lying. The extended clip for that particular scene shows Carrie trying to convince Dar Adal about Allison while Saul quietly listens.

There's also a montage of scenes showing the terrorist group apparently planning and looking at a map, Saul confronting Allison, the CIA director being dragged and Carrie apparently searching for someone (hopefully Quinn).

It seems that the possibility that Quinn might meet his end this season is becoming harder to ignore. Hopefully, he has something up his sleeve as it's hard to imagine the show without him. Plus, his death would leave a hole in Saul's intelligence team.

Episode 10 of "Homeland" season five will air on Dec. 6.
