'Heroes Reborn' news and spoilers: Danika Yarosh and Robbie Kay join the cast, NBC may use original cast members

For the first time a TV series delved deep into the concept of superheroes and ushered in a new era for Television. Superheroes bestowed with extraordinary qualities were only tackled on the big screen, but never in TV. "Heroes" was one of the few shows that dared to deal with the concept and gave ordinary human beings extraordinary powers.
With the surging popularity of superhero series such as "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D", "Gotham", "Arrow", "The Flash" and many more, audiences are ready and willing to let superheroes enter their world once a week. That's one of the main reason why NBC announced a reboot of its all-time hit TV show "Heroes Reborn". The first season of the show will re-tell the story and coincides with the first season of the original series. Ordinary people are waking up to the idea of having extraordinary abilities.
"Shameless" star Danika Yarosh has recently been recruited for the upcoming show, slated to air later this year, reports Entertainment Weekly. Details of her role are kept under wraps and the production team has been tight-lipped on spilling even the tiniest of details. TVLine also reports that Robbie Kay, who played the baddie Peter Pan in "Once Upon A Time", will also join the existing cast. It was previously reported by several publications and announced by NBC that Zachery Levi and Jack Coleman have joined the cast as well. Coleman reprises his role as H.R.G while Levi's character is shrouded in secrecy. Hayden Panettiere and Zachery Quinto won't be back.
The first trailer of "Heroes Reborn" was released during the Super Bowl and showed H.R.G tracking a young girl with special abilities. However, Levi's character is also seen being interested in the young girl.
Den Of Geek reports that NBC hasn't ruled out the possibility of original cast members popping up in the show so fans of the original series can rejoice. The highly anticipated 13-episode series will air alongside a new digital series named "Heroes Reborn: Digital Series". As production begins soon, expect more news, spoilers and updates.
