'Heroes of the Storm' brings new character Rexxar and pet bear Misha
A new character, Rexxar, was announced recently as part of the already crowded roster of "Heroes of the Storm" and all indications suggest he will land this week. Rexxar is a potent mix of orc and ogre, who will be bringing his pet bear, Misha, along with him.
The arrival of Rexxar in the game, "Heroes of the Storm," was revealed when the developer, Blizzard Entertainment, released a spotlight video and provided some background on the character. GameSpot states that one of the interesting features about the character is that he has a bear that fights alongside him. This bear also has an affinity for tearing opponents to bits. The website also says that Rexxar is significant as he is the first character from the ranged warrior class to be included in the roster for "Heroes of the Storm."
As for Rexxar's abilities, they include basic ones which allow him to command Misha to attack. He also has the ability to throw the spirit of a hawk into a fight via the "Spirit Swoop" move, which slows his enemies down. The "Misha Charge" ability will see the bear attack while the "Mend Pet" move will allow Rexxar to heal his pet.
There are also heroic abilities assigned to the character, which include "Bestial Wrath" and "Unleash the Boars." The latter, as its names denotes, brings a number of wild boars into the fight to attack opponents while Rexxar is throwing axes at them.
The beastmaster, Rexxar, has previously appeared in "Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne" and CinemaBlend states that in that particular outing, he aided Thrall as he went about forming the new Horde, who took on the Alliance.
With the MOBA from Blizzard adding characters from a number of different games to its roster, it is expected that Rexxar is just one in a string of several new additions. It is expected that soon, Medic and Artanis from "Starcraft" will also be coming to the game.
