Henry Cavill brought his 19-year-old girlfriend Tara King on the red carpet during the premiere night of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in London. Many snigerred at their 13-year age gap, but Cavill ignored them and praised her maturity in spite of her age.

In an interview with Elle Magazine, Cavill said that the reaction of the public regarding his new relationship is just "natural." He went on to say that when he was 19, he was also going out with a 32-year-old.

He admitted, though, that age is "actually a real and true sign of someone's maturity." But he was fast to say that her girlfriend is an exception, because "she's fantastic."

Although there are people out there who could be doubtful of his intentions, the British hottie said, " I'm loyal to a fault. I may have learned that from my mother."

Despite playing a superhero, the "Man of Steel" star revealed his soft side, as reported by Mirror, saying, "She protects me and is protective of me when I am having a hard time. She's there when I need looking after and the world is a little too heavy. Then she will happily take that weight for me and make sure that I am okay."

In his Elle interview, the actor disclosed that he had been teased as "Fatty Cavill" in his teens, but that have evidently changed. Even co-star Amy Adams, who played Lois Lane in "Man of Steel," said of the actor: "He's dashing with just a hint of danger...But you know there's a steeliness within him that makes the gentlemanly qualities all the more interesting."

The couple began dating in October 2015. They were first spotted in the same month at a rugby match at Twickenham Stadium in London. They were also seen together vacationing in New Zealand and China. Cavill also brought her at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in February. Nothing much is known about her except that she is a history of art student at Bristol University.
