For the past five seasons, "Hawaii Five-0's" Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) can't seem to catch a break, whether it comes to the dirty cop allegations that are always levied at him or with regards to the state of his love life. But season six might be different as the detective will allegedly be given another shot at love.

The "Five-O" stalwart lost his wife, Malia (Reiko Aylesworth), when corrupt police officer, Frank Delano (William Baldwin), had her killed. While the loss was traumatic and kept him away from the dating scene, it doesn't mean that Chin will be single forever. As a matter of fact, the actor thinks it's time to move on.

"[Last] season, we [didn't see] much of Chin's personal life," Kim mentioned in an interview. "I think it's time to get a little romance back into Chin's life. I would welcome that."

It appears that Kim will get his wish as a new detective is set to join Hawaii's elite task force on a temporary assignment.

"Dexter" alum, Julie Benz, is onboard as Jennifer, a San Francisco detective who is set to lead a task force patterned after Five-0 and is on the island doing some research.

According to "Hawaii Five-O's" showrunner, Peter M. Lenkov, Benz' character is "on loan from the San Francisco Police Department and she's going to end up, we think at least, having a relationship with Chin Ho."

That certainly is good news, but some fans are worried that it might not be the best time for Chin to be involved with anyone since his brother-in-law, Gabriel Waincroft, is reportedly next season's main villain.

It seems that most of the team is headed for some challenging times in terms of their personal relationships next season. Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine (Michele Borth) might have to make a decision regarding their future together while Danny (Scott Caan) has to figure out where he stands in his son's life. And of course, it has been reported that Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) and Kono (Grace Park) will be starting their married life in not so ideal circumstances.

Season six of "Hawaii Five-0" returns on Sept. 25, 2015.
