'Hawaii Five-O' Season 6 Cast News, Update: Michelle Borth may reprise role as Catherine

The finale of "Hawaii Five-0" season 5 had left fans on a sweet, albeit uneasy and tentative note. The last episode was aired just over a month ago, but speculations about the next season can already be found online. There have been some leaks, which have been readily confirmed by none other than the showrunner himself, Peter Lenkov.
"Hawaii Five-0", which first aired in September 2010, is a remake of the highly successful 70's police procedural drama of the same name. Like the original series, the CBS remake follows the story of Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett as he investigates crimes ranging from terrorism to kidnappings in Hawaii. The show has received mostly positive feedback, with most critics commenting on how the new production has brought a much needed modernity to the old and tired 70's storyline.
Season 5 ended with Adam and Kono tying the knot. Fans are actually unsure if the pair did get married, though there have been reports confirming their wedding.
In an article by Cartermatt.com, Lenkov finally put all speculations about their wedding to rest by claiming that the sixth season would jump directly to where the finale had ended. The season would open with the newlyweds performing their first dance and the premiere would also show the newly married couple enjoying their honeymoon.
"Kono's going to have the worst honeymoon anybody's ever had ... It's going to be an interesting ride, that first episode!"
Aside from the wedding, the last episode of season 5 saw the return of Catherine, played by Michelle Borth. While her role in the upcoming series hasn't been confirmed, the showrunner further teased fans commenting:
"We haven't finalized how long she'll stay, but she'll definitely be in some episodes at the beginning of the season. We haven't figured out exactly where to go, but we're working on it." claimed Lenkov in an interview with TV guide.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 6 is scheduled to air on September 25, 2015.
