'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 premiere: Chris Vance of 'Supergirl' to guest star as British MI6 agent

(Facebook/HawaiiFive0CBS)"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 premieres on Sept. 23.

"Hawaii Five-0" is about to get a little more super. It has been revealed that Chris Vance, known for playing the villainous Non on "Supergirl," will be guest starring on the police procedural for its seventh season.

The news comes from TVLine, which recently spoke to showrunner Peter M. Lenkov, who said that Vance will be playing "a British MI6 agent who goes up against Five-0, then teams with them to solve a big story."

But Vance isn't the only cast member shaking up headlines. It has been made known that Christine Lahti, who played Steve's mother Doris McGarrett, will be back for the upcoming season. Doris first appeared in season 2 wherein she reunited with her son. She was thought to be dead, but as it turned out, she had only faked her death and was actually a CIA operative.

Lahti took to Twitter to confirm the news to her followers, and Lenkov soon responded to her and expressed his gratitude for agreeing to return to the series.

Additionally, there were talks of season 7 being the last for the series. Actor and musician Jimmy Buffett worried about his character, Frank Bama, and expressed his thoughts on the matter during a concert tour promotion. However, Lenkov took to his Twitter handle to address the rumors and assured Buffett that "Hawaii Five-0" is not ending.

As for what the new season may bring, there is some speculation that Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine (Michelle Borth) may give their relationship another shot. It is also widely believed that the couple will end up getting married.

It was also previously reported that Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) will deal with a problem of his own in the form of Sara, who is Gabriel's (Christopher Sean) daughter. Gabriel had asked Chin to take care of her when he was dying. Season 7 will also touch on the subject of Chin possibly adopting Sara.

"Hawaii Five-0" will premiere on Sept. 23 on CBS.
