Hannibal season 3: promotional posters give glimpses into Hannibal's eerie bad boy nature
The premiere of Hannibal season 3 on June 4 is getting closer, and Fannibals are getting so excited, they might just eat someone. Will Bryan Fuller be able to satisfy them with more information on the new season, or will it whet their appetites even more?
Part of why the more enthusiastic viewers are just itching to see the third season is because of the show's move from its usual spring slot to its later summer slot, leaving them with more time to wait. Fuller explains in his interview with Digital Spy that it was because of production reasons. The crew found that they had too little time to actually finish good episodes, and so they had to push back the schedule. Based on this, everyone would expect to see a much better production this season.
Speaking of production, Fuller also noted that the first seven episodes were an experiment for what they can and will do when the time comes for them to work on season 4. So it seems that the viewers will somehow get a glimpse of how season 4 will run with season 3's episodes. Again, much will be expected.
As revealed in past articles on season 3 of Hannibal, the season will have 13 episodes, divided into two halves of 7 and 6 episodes. The first half will be named after Italian culinary terms, with episode 1 being "Antipasto", episode 2 being "Primavera", episode 3 being "Secondo", and episode 7 being "Digestivo". The second half will be named after William Blake's Great Red Dragon paintings and quotes from Revelations, with episode 8 being "The Great Red Dragon...", episode 9 being "...And the Woman Clothed in Sun", episode 10 being "...And the Woman Clothed with the Sun", and episode 11 being "...And the Beast from the Sea", as revealed by Fuller in the interview with Digital Spy. What the other unmentioned episodes will have as titles, viewers have yet to find out.
While everyone is waiting, above is one of the more recent Hannibal posters revealed by Fuller on his Twitter, showing more of Hannibal's bad boy side and also showing hints of the nature of his reunion with Will. The posters are for promotion by AXN, the show's overseas distributor. The other posters, for convenience, can be seen here.
Once June 4 comes, watch Hannibal season 3 at NBC, 10PM Eastern Standard Time.
