'Girl Meets World' season 3 spoilers, update: Riley and friends in high school
Before the coming-of-age Disney series "Girl Meets World" returns with season 3, fans of the show can feast on the recently released promo trailer, which gives a glimpse of Riley and the gang in the new chapter of their lives.
The brand-new promo trailer for "Girl Meets World" season 3 shows the gang entering high school. Riley tells Maya, "Promise me that no matter what happens, we'll always stick together." Then, a group of students pass between them and separate them. The clip ends with Lucas telling Riley that she is just too much for him. Lucas' statement could mean something to the love triangle between him, Riley, and Maya.
Meanwhile, producer Michael Jacobs has revealed a few facts about the upcoming season in his interview with The Wrap.
Jacobs assured fans that the love triangle will slowly be resolved as season 3 starts. He said, "It will span probably a third to a half of Season 3. Not as primary focus, but always as an underlying thing in existence for the characters. And then when we bring it up to primary, we will resolve it in a way that shows an answer to a much bigger question, which is, how do young people at this age perceive relationships?"
Uncle Josh, portrayed by Uriah Shelton, had to be written out in the previous season after his motorcycle accident. Jacobs revealed that his season 2 stint was supposed to make things more complicated. Because of the brief halt of his storyline, Josh will continue to stir things up for Riley and her friends in season 3.
"We're going to use Josh to just add what we think is texture and growth to the other characters," Jacobs added.
Also, since the gang is entering high school in season 3, the producer also revealed that a big shift can be expected. The big shift from the first to second season will even get bigger in the third season.
"Girl Meets World" season 3 will air a two-hour premiere sometime in June.
