'Game of Thrones' season 6 rumors: fans still cannot believe Jon Snow is really dead
Season five of the well-known HBO original series "Game of Thrones" just ended a few weeks ago and people are still devastated by how the series ended.
It has been a common joke for fans of the fantasy drama series to warn people who are about to watch "Game of Thrones" to not get too attached with any particular character since most of the well-beloved ones end up dead.
The "one true king," Stannis Baratheon, who managed to sacrifice his own daughter's life just so he could reach Winterfell and rule over it, was finally caught by karma and ended up dead at the hands of Brianne who is avenging the death of Renly Baratheon.
While most fans thought that Stannis being killed is not all that tragic, the same cannot be said for how people reacted to the death of Jon Snow. His death was so shocking that, until now, most viewers do not really believe he is dead.
One rumor, in fact, is suggesting that Jon Snow might still come back and appear in the upcoming season of the show. Sources say that the lady of fire, Melassandra, will resurrect Jon Snow from the dead.
Others even further claim that once Jon Snow is brought back to life, the color of his eyes will turn to purple, which will reveal the truth about his life -- that he is not Ned Stark's bastard but instead is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
None of the Snow rumors have been confirmed, but many are hoping that he will return especially since the author of the books, George R.R. Martin, has yet to finish "Winds of Winter," which the sixth season is reportedly based on.
It has been announced that season six of Game of Thrones would air on spring 2016.
