'Frozen 2' rumors: Jack Frost to be Elsa's love interest
After it was rumored that "Frozen 2" would feature Elsa having a prince charming or a girlfriend, the latest buzz on the Internet is that the Ice Queen will have a romantic relationship with another popular character who has similar powers to her: Jack Frost.
There is no denying that "Frozen 2" is not only one of the most-anticipated movie sequels ever, but it is also a rumor-magnet as a new buzz about it surfaces every now and then. However, there is no denying that, among the many unconfirmed reports attached to it, one of the most persistent is that the movie will feature Elsa finally having a love life.
The latest in the rumor mill is that, in the upcoming "Frozen" sequel, a character known to have similar powers to that of Elsa may be featured in the movie, Jack Frost, and he will be Elsa's love interest. However, it has been learned that the Elsa-Jack frost pairing is nothing more than a clamor from some fans who even petitioned that it be made into a reality.
Prior to the rumor about Jack Frost, rumors about Elsa having a girlfriend on "Frozen 2" were rife. In fact, Idina Menzel, the actress who lends her voice to the character, even said in an interview that, in the event it turns out that it will really be the case, fans should just let Elsa live her life the way she wants. She also believes that, if Elsa really turns out to be a lesbian in the movie, another Disney character, Tinker Bell, will be an ideal partner for her.
"I, Idina Menzel, says I am all for it. I think it's a wonderful idea, a wonderful conversation that we should all have whether a Disney princess or queen could be ... but I can't promise anybody that's going to happen because I'm just a Disney servant and I love Disney and I work for Disney," Menzel told Miley Cyrus on The Ellen Degeneres Show last September when she was asked to comment on Elsa possibly being a lesbian.
Despite the buzz that the highly anticipated sequel is creating, though, there is still no slated release date for "Frozen 2." Nonetheless, it is expected not to arrive in theaters earlier than 2018.
