'Frozen 2' release date, news, rumors: Is Olaf a human?

(Facebook/Frozen)Olaf's true form will allegedly be unveiled in 'Frozen 2'

Fans are now gearing up for the release of "Frozen 2" and there may be some huge revelations when the highly anticipated sequel arrives. Olaf may have some big news to share.

Rumor has it that Olaf's true form may be unveiled in the upcoming installment of the record-breaking franchise. Olaf was created by Queen Elsa in the first film, and ever since his creation, he has become a beloved character. He is also considered to be Elsa's best friend.

In "Frozen 2," it will supposedly be revealed that Olaf is a human after all. He may have been trapped in the snowman's body while Elsa was creating him. It could also be that Olaf may be a dog or just about anything else that has life. However, these speculations have not been confirmed yet so it is best to take the reports with a grain of salt for now.

Whatever form Olaf takes, he still remains to be an iconic name in the history of animated films. It is even speculated that he may finally find true love in the sequel. If this happens, fans will surely love a romantic storyline that involves a snowwoman.

As for the release date of "Frozen 2," it is speculated that the movie will be ready to hit big screens in 2018. Production is expected to kick off early 2017. Though Disney has not given any updates on the developments of the film, Kristen Bell said earlier this year that the team is working on a different special which is supposed to be released during Christmas time in 2017.

The Olaf-centered special may also open doors for the purported plot that will feature the beloved snowman in "Frozen 2." However, these are all speculations and official word has yet to come out for the sequel.

For now, fans should stay tuned for more updates on the plot and official launch of "Frozen 2."
