'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' DLC updates coming for Halloween; special Halloween edition doesn't follow canon

"Five Nights at Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon recently announced that he has a special treat for his games' loyal fans this Halloween – two new DLCs!
It was previously announced that "Five Nights At Freddy's 4" will be getting a special Halloween update, but now fans will also be getting a free Halloween edition of the beloved survival horror game and a teaser featuring Nightmare Balloon Boy.
The announcement was revealed on both the Scott Games website and the "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" Steam Community page.
In his Steam post, the game designer explained how the two downloadable contents came about. According to Cawthon, he found that not being able to change the core game or its history was very limiting and that he believes the community demanded more than a new menu. So he decided to release a special Halloween edition of "Five Nights at Freddy's 4."
The Halloween DLC will be released as scheduled and as previously reported, will have a new cheat menu, a challenge menu and a mini-game. It will follow canon and when installed, gamers will see that the new content will update the game to version 1.1.
For Cawthon's second treat, the special Halloween edition of "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" will feature a few cosmetic changes and tweaks in the characters design. This special treat is not canon and has been designed specifically for Halloween. The fact that it's free makes it an even more delicious treat.
This special Halloween version will be available on Steam and on his GameJolt page.
Cawthon has even given "Freddy" fans a glimpse of what's in store for them this Halloween with a teaser on his Scott Games website. Fans can see a simple stuffed bear against a dark background. While the shadows make it a bit challenging to see, fans can see a nightmare version of "Five Nights at Freddy's" Balloon Boy. This has led fans to speculate that the game's Halloween edition might include some of the animatronics that were not seen in the fourth installation of the game.
Gamers who haven't secured their copy of "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" should do so now so they can take advantage of the upcoming DLCs. The game is currently available for PCs and other mobile devices.
The new content and the Halloween version of "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" will reportedly be released on Oct. 31.
