'Fist Fight' release date news: Ice Cube and Charlie Day starts the year with a throw down
When two supposed model grown-ups engage in a blood match, it is going to be a royal spectacle like no other. This is exactly what "Fist Fight" is about, and it is going to be utter mayhem in the school grounds.
The latest trailer shows exactly where the duel between two grown-up teachers originated from. The timid Andy Campbell, played by Charlie Day, got his colleague accidentally fired after ratting him out. This is something that the scary-looking Ron Strickland, played by Ice Cube, won't be taking lying down. He then challenges Campbell to a classic fist fight after school.
The news spreads like wildfire and has caused much commotion. The funny thing is that the students aren't the only ones placing their bets on who will be winning the fight; instead even the teachers themselves are taking sides. The brawl between the two men quickly grew into a large-scale event with the hashtag, #teacherfight.
The film is expected to bring chaotic comedy to the big screen when it airs next year. The thought of Charlie Day actually landing a punch on Ice Cube is going to be hilarious, and their contrasting personalities complement each other. With more help from Jillian Bell, Tracy Morgan and the rest of the cast, audiences are sure to be rolling on the ground laughing.
"Fist Fight" is an American comedy film written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux, and has Richie Keen on the director's seat. Keen is known for his work in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Hooked" and "Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas," and so it will be interesting to see how the new film is going to pan out.
There will be no escape from the fist feud that is about to happen after school. "Fist Fight" brawls into cinemas by Feb. 17, 2017.
