"Fifty Shades Darker" hasn't been released yet, but casting and filming for the third installment of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series is in the works.

In "Fifty Shades Freed," Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) have become a couple, but Christian's past is coming back to haunt them.

Reports are already circulating that the third and last part of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy is scheduled for release on Feb. 9, 2018, which is a year after "Fifty Shades Darker," which has a scheduled release on Feb. 10, 2017.

The movie will follow the married life of Christian and Anastasia as well as Anastasia's adjustment period to Christian's wealthy lifestyle and controlling behavior.

One of the key characters in the third part is Gia Matteo, an attractive architect hired by Christian on the strong recommendation of his brother, Elliot, played by Luke Grimes. Gia is Elliot's ex-girlfriend, but she's not interested in him anymore. Instead, she has her eyes set on Christian.

At this point, Anastasia is not the timid and shy girl anymore. So instead of staying silent after seeing Gia flirting with Christian, she warns her to stay away from her husband. Aside from this, Ana also suspects that Elliot is cheating with Gia.

Gia Matteo will be played by "Vampire Diaries" and "UnREAL" alumni, Arielle Kebbel. The announcement was made by E.L. James, the author of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy, on her Twitter account. Kebbel also tweeted about the news.

Another actor who will be joining "Fifty Shades Freed" is Brant Daugherty of the "Pretty Little Liars" series. Brant will play the role of Ana's bodyguard, Sawyer. The announcement was also made by James on her Twitter.

Other actors who will join the cast are Rita Ora as Mia Grey, Kim Basinger as Leyla Williams, and Eric Johnson as Jack Hyde.

Both "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" will be directed by James Foley.
