'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' DLC updates, news: Bandai Namco to release DLC pack in February; title lined up for Nintendo Switch
Video game developer Bandai Namco Entertainment is expected to release the downloadable content (DLC) pack 2 of its game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" in February. The company will also include the game in its line-up for the Nintendo Switch console.
Based on ShonenGamez's translation of a news in V-Jump magazine, the DLC pack 2 will be released in February at a price of $9.99. Players with the Season Pass, however, can download the pack online. The pack will include a new story chapter that focuses around the Universe 6 Saga, the addition of two new characters, namely, Champa and Vados, and the new level, arena of the Universe 7 vs. Universe 6 tournament.
A free update for the game will also be available. Included in the free update are five new costumes, three accessories, five attacks, five new background music (BGM), an additional Budoukai Tenkaichi rule and an additional Budoukai Tenkaichi outfit.
Meanwhile, in the Bandai Namco Entertainment America press release translated by Gematsu, the company announced that it is bringing "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" to the Nintendo Switch platform in the Americas, along with others like "Tales of" and "Taiku Drum Master," which are both still under development.
In the press release, the company described the game as the "most expansive" in the gaming franchise history, so far.
Under the company's plans, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" players can share their gaming experiences with friends via local co-op gameplay. The game can be played on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and personal computer (PC) platforms.
Also, WWG reported that Nintendo posted a Nintendo Switch Presentation for the game in its official Japanese website and based on its observation, the game will adopt well both in handheld mode and on the big screen. The game will also feature improved graphics, the largest number of character customization selections, as well as other new features and special upgrades.
