'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 55 and 56 spoilers: Gohan, Trunks vs Black Goku in different timelines

Earlier rumors claiming that Trunks and Gohan will fight Black Goku may finally happen when "Dragon Ball Super" episodes 55 and 56 finally air.

According to spoiler reports, Trunks, Vegeta, and Goku will find their way to Future Trunk's original timeline, where he will finally defeat Black Goku. However, in the course of the fight of the two, the time machine will be destroyed, leaving Goku and Vegeta trapped in the future.

Meanwhile, in the present timeline, it is said that Gohan will also fight with Black Goku. It can be recalled that in the past month, the rumor claiming that Gohan will finally free himself from his self-imposed restriction of not fighting in order to fight Black Goku was persistent. While many people thought that such a case won't happen, the latest in the rumor mill is that it may finally happen in the upcoming episode 55 or 56 of "Dragon Ball Super."

Allegedly, in the upcoming episodes, Gohan will not only be forced to fight Black Goku but will also transform into a new form of Super Saiyan God and will defeat the evil version of Goku. As Black Goku is defeated by Gohan in the present time, it is suspected that his menaces that cause the destruction of the future will be stopped.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 55 is expected to air on Aug. 21 and comes with an episode title of "Hey, I Wanna Meet Son Goku. A Summon from the Omni-King!"

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode 56 of "Dragon Ball Super" is titled "Rematch with Goku Black! Introducing Super Saiyan Rose!!," which will be aired on Aug. 28. According to the synopsis of the said upcoming episode, Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks will head to the future as the time machine has already been fixed. As they arrive in the future, they will unexpectedly meet someone, assumed to be Black Goku.
