'Doctor Who' season 9 spoilers: season 8 guest star and fan favorite Jovian Wade returns as Rigsy

According to the latest official announcement by the BBC, "Doctor Who" season eight guest star Jovian Wade, will be returning for the ninth season of its science-fiction series. Wade had previously played the role of Rigsy, a graffiti artist turned hero, in the season eight episode "Flatline." BBC has also revealed that Wade's comeback episode is directed by Justin Molotnikov and written by Sarah Dollard, whose previous credits include "Being Human" and the BBC's acclaimed spy drama, "The Game."
Dollard has expressed her enthusiasm as a former fan who is now a part of the show's production. "Getting to play in the Doctor Who toy box is a dream come true. It's a total honour to contribute to a show that has brought me such joy as a fan," Dollard said. "However, writing for Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman has presented a serious problem: some days I've been too excited to actually sit down and type!"
The "Doctor Who" official Twitter account welcomed Wade and Dolard in a tweet stating: "S9 news! @JoivanWade will return as Rigsy in ep 10, written by @snazdoll. Glad to have you back, & welcome, Sarah!" to which Wade replied "@DoctorWho_BBCA @snazdoll can't wait! Thanks for having me back guys!"
Michelle Gomez will also be returning as Missy a.k.a., The Master, who had caused huge trouble for The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Coleman) at the end of season eight, according to Cartermatt. Other guest stars for the upcoming season include Maisie Williams, Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye and Jaye Griffiths. Most of the cast and crew, including Capaldi, Coleman and Gomez, are reportedly scheduled to attend the San Diego Comic Con in July to discuss the new season.
