'Doctor Strange' cast news: Chiwetel Ejiofor seen on London set

Fans got a glimpse of the upcoming Marvel film "Doctor Strange" when the characters were seen on set recently.

It was revealed that a set of photos and video from their London set were shared on social media. The photos and videos featured Benedict Cumberbatch in the "Doctor Strange" attire. He was joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is expected to take on the role of Baron Mordo.

The two were seen in their respective costumes, Cumberbatch in a long red robe and Ejiofor in futuristic clothes. The leaked photos show them towering over something on the pavement.

Another one of the teasers shows Cumberbatch in a dire state. He is shown bloody, which signifies that he will be faced with a lot of violence in the upcoming film. Despite this, it was reported that Doctor Strange is actually a powerful being. His powers will bring forth a new realm into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Cumberbatch shared some interesting insight about the upcoming film. He said, "It's very different, it's an Astral Plane. There's a huge new element to this Marvel universe that's going to be employed in building this story and this character."

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the producer of the movie, Kevin Feige, also explained that Doctor Strange will be a powerful character. Feight stated, "He does cast spells, which in the comics have very sort of tongue-twisty fun names. He has a Cloak of Levitation that allows him to fly, but he doesn't fly like Superman or like Thor. He can create these mandalas of light that he can use as shields and he can use as sort of weapons."

With that, fans can expect "Doctor Strange" to expand the world of universe.

"Doctor Strange" will premiere in theaters this Nov. 4.
