'Diablo 3' new features: One of Season 8's rewards is a new Andariel-inspired accessory

(Battle Net)Some of the new cosmetic rewards set to be offered in Season 8 of 'Diablo 3'

Season 8 of "Diablo 3" is set to start very soon, and developers have now begun to preview the new features that will soon be offered.

In a new Battle Net post, the developers touched on the many new additions players will get to see, including one cosmetic reward that may bring up some memories for long-time fans of the franchise.

Among the different cosmetic rewards players can receive in Season 8 is a new pair of what the developers have termed as "wings," or at least that's what they're known as.

The so-called "wings" don't really look the part, and upon closer inspection, players will see that they closely resemble the back appendages that belonged to Andariel.

Andariel was one of the main bosses players fought in "Diablo 2," and they will likely remember her as the malevolent force waiting at the end of what was a particularly frightening and harrowing trek through the catacombs.

Unfortunately, donning Andariel's extra appendages probably won't allow players to do any kind of poison damage just like the original did, though it at least provides a nice little bit of nostalgia for those who have enjoyed "Diablo" games for years now.

Aside from Andariel's wings/arms, "Diablo 3" players will also be given more opportunities to claim pieces of the Conqueror Set in Season 8.

New Class Set items are also being introduced in Season 8. Conquests and Journey Rewards are being tweaked as well, so there will be new things that players can aim for this coming season.

Season 8 is officially set to start on Oct. 21, giving players a few more days to wrap up what they need to do before the big changes and additions are officially introduced.

More news about "Diablo 3" and the new features set to be included in Season 8 should be made available in the near future.
