'Devious Maids' season 4 spoilers: Genevieve makes a tough decision regarding Zoila, baby

(Facebook/deviousmaids)Zoila's fate will be revealed in "Devious Maids" season 4.

Zoila (Judy Reyes) and her unborn baby's safety lie on Genevieve's (Susan Lucci) frail shoulders in the fourth season of the hit Lifetime series "Devious Maids."

Before the show went on a hiatus, the Powell's maid was about to give birth. The doctors told Genevieve that there were some complications in the pregnancy that she would have to decide whom would be saved. As Zoila's boss, it would be Genevieve who gets to choose whose life is more important, Zoila's or the baby's.

Lucci shared in a recent interview that the big reveal will happen in the upcoming installment slated to air this summer. The upcoming installment will also address cliffhangers from season 3.

Aside from Zoila's fate, the question on whether Genevieve's husband, Adrian (Tom Irwin), survived the blast, will also be revealed. The last time he was seen, Adrian was still inside the house when it suddenly exploded. According to the actress, the continuation of the said storyline will be shown early in the upcoming season. Lucci also added that there will be a lot of new mysteries to solve in the new plotlines.

"A lot of people want to know if Adrian survives. Adrian on paper is a very unsympathetic, sleazy kind of a character, but in the hands of Tom, you love this guy and root for him and you want him to live. And that's part of what we'll focus on in the beginning. We just began shooting, but there are some shocking surprises, let's put it that way," she said.

Meanwhile, Fashion & Style posits that Javier (Ivan Hernandez), Zoila's boyfriend, will soon return to the series. He left the expecting mother and ended the relationship when she told him that her dead ex-husband, Pablo (Alex Fernandez), might be the father of her child. Previously, Genevieve told Zoila that she must not let Javier know about it. Zoila did not listen and things turned ugly after that.

"Devious Maids" season 4 will air summer of this year on Lifetime.
