'Dark Souls 3' DLC release date, rumors: 'Ashes of Ariandel' DLC set in Painted World of Ariamis?

Ever since the latest downloadable content (DLC) from "Dark Souls 3" was revealed with a trailer, there were no new details about the expansion. There is still a lot of mystery that is shrouding "Ashes of Ariandel" and there are some questions that need to be answered as well, like if the new location is set in the Painted World.
Based on the reports of Gamespot, it has always been known that with the "Dark Souls" franchise, not many plot details are given before the game is released. The same also goes for the upcoming "Dark Souls 3" DLC called "Ashes of Ariandel." The only information known about the expansion is that gamers will be taken to the frozen wasteland of Ariandel to find out what caused its devastation.
As mentioned in Inverse, the new stage in the DLC shows a similarity with the Painted World of Ariamis from the first installment of "Dark Souls." The Painted World was created by Ariamis and this is where where lost souls can find haven. Furthermore, the Painted World of Ariamis' description is almost the same as the place featured in the trailer of the DLC which also has a snowy landscape.
There is also a possibility that the new boss that was shown in the promotional video may be related to the Corvians. The clip introduced a huge man who was chained to the floor. When he stood up, it can be seen that his clothing was wrapped in feathers. It is indicated that the boss may be a Corvian since they are a hybrid of the human race and the crows.
Moreover, there also speculations that the huge man could be the leader of the Corvians and his group resides in the Painted World.
The latest expansion from "Dark Souls 3" titled "Ashes of Ariandel" will be released on Oct. 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
