'Criminal Minds': Derek Morgan leaves, Savannah dies - gets shot by an UnSub in season 11 episode 18
On the upcoming episode 18, titled "A Beautiful Disaster," of the 11th episode of "Criminal Minds," something big is about to come in the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), and the story is most likely to revolve around Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan.
According to the official synopsis from Cartermatt, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's BAU team is being targeted by an unknown subject; the team investigates to find out who is behind it.
The promo trailer for "A Beautiful Disaster" reveals that it will be the most powerful episode of the entire season 11. It shows the aftermath of the heartbreaking disaster between couple Derek and Savannah.
At the end of the previous episode, Savannah was shot by sniper in front of Derek. His teammates in BAU, who are working on his wife's case, have never seen him that way — perhaps, distressed. So, unit chief Aaron Hotchner decides to take Derek off the case. Because the team is worried with how Derek is acting, Dr. Reid reminds him that the team loves him and he should believe in them. However, it looks like Derek is handling the matter with his own hands.
Meanwhile, here is the rundown of the previous episode, titled "The Sandman."
The episode's case for the unit was about an unknown subject who kidnapped a child and killed his family brutally. They found out that the suspect is a psychological sadist and could have suffered when he was a child without his mother's protection. Fortunately, Garcia and Reid were able to track the UnSub down just in time.
Before the episode came into a close, a shocking cliff-hanger was showed. Derek picked up Savannah from her Lamaze class. They were talking outside the building and there was a gunshot. Savannah screamed Derek's name.
"Criminal Minds" airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. on CBS.
