'Criminal Minds' season 11 episode 11 spoilers, news: Reid's date mastermind behind bomb planted in building; genius profiler is reportedly the key to stopping the Dirty Dozen

Viewers with a penchant for solving mysteries will soon be getting their regular fix as "Criminal Minds" season 11 is set to return mid-January. And the first episode of the year promises to be an explosive one, literally and figuratively.
The FBI's Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU) will be placed in a tense situation when one of their own goes on a date that soon turns deadly.
According to TV Line, the 11th episode of "Criminal Minds" season 11 will see Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) finally going on a date. This night out has been long in coming, as the genius had avoided relationships ever since the death of his girlfriend Maeve. But Reid got more than he bargained for when his date, "Parks and Recreation's" Aubrey Plaza has something diabolical in mind.
A trailer for the episode, titled "Entropy," starts with a woman introducing herself to Spencer as Cat Adams. Reid's date looks normal and is very attractive, something that has the doctor excited. She then tells Reid that she wants to play a game and asks if he also likes games. Reid answers affirmatively, and the camera pans to beneath the table, where Cat is seen holding a gun. She sidles over to Reid and takes his gun.
A timer is seen set to 30 minutes. Reid says she has planted a bomb in the building while Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and JJ (AJ Cook) are shown looking at the explosive. The veteran profiler tells Hotch (Thomas Gibson) that there are six charges, which are enough to decimate the entire block. The trailer shifts to Reid once more as he confronts Cat about all the innocent people in the restaurant. JJ then exclaims that she has armed the bomb. The clip ends with Cat leaning back and saying she's just a girl with issues.
Viewers are no doubt curious as to how the eccentric G-man will be able to outsmart his devious date. But there's no question that Reid will prevail as he's also reportedly the key to taking down The Dirty Dozen, a group of assassins who are this season's big bad villain.
Episode 11 of "Criminal Minds" season 11 will air on Jan. 13 on CBS.
