Fans still have a month of waiting to do before their favorite police procedural goes back on air. And while the showrunners and writers might be keeping mum about next season's storylines, the cast of "Criminal Minds" have been more open to dropping hints and showing fans that they're hard at work on season 11.

Matthew Gray Gubler, who plays the indispensable Dr. Spencer Reid, heralded the start of production by sharing a photo of the cast and crew of "Criminal Minds" on Instagram.

Shemar Moore also kept fans happy with his photo with Kirsten Vangsness, the BAU's resident tech guru and Derek Morgan's baby girl.

Even the newest member of the BAU team has been getting in on the Instagram action. Actress, Aisha Tyler, who will be bringing the character of forensic psychologist Dr. Tara Lewis to life, shared several photos of herself and her cast mates.

Meanwhile, Joe Mantegna dropped a big hint on what else he has been doing with a Twitter pic of himself with "Criminal Minds: Without Borders'" Gary Sinise.

In spite of the lighthearted photos that they were treated to, fans know that another intense season is in store for them if the official synopsis for season 11's first episode is any indication. According to CBS, the premiere episode of the newest season will see the team's leader, Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), interviewing different candidates to take the place of Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt). But the team is also hunting for a serial killer who leaves behind specific evidence that shows someone is out for vengeance.

Hotch's team will reportedly also be dealing with the takedown of Silk Road, the darknet black market.

"It's about a sort of Silk Road/hitman-for-hire storyline," showrunner, Erica Messer, explains. "We're picking up those pieces of what happens when you kill the head of a monster? Another one grows."

It definitely sounds like the BAU is headed for more action and sleepless nights when "Criminal Minds" returns to CBS on Sept. 30, 2015.
