Rebecca's (Rachel Bloom) girls night may not go as planned in the upcoming episode 6, titled "Who Needs Josh When You Have a Girl Group?," of the second season of the American romantic musical series "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

Rebecca tries her hardest to organize a girls' night with Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), Heather (Vella Lovell), and Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz). However, it seems like things will not go as planned and it may even cause her relationship with Paula to fall apart. Darryl (Pete Gardner), on the other hand, decides to spend time with his co-worker Maya (guest star Esther Povitsky). He is surprised to learn that they have a lot of things in common.

The promo trailer for the upcoming "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 episode, "Who Needs Josh When You Have a Girl Group?," shows Rebecca thinking that she has created her own squad and so she decides to blend her old friend Paula with her new friends for a girls' night. However, it seems like Paula is not digging Rebecca's new clique. When Rebecca confronts her about her disinterest in their little party, it seems like Paula gets kicked out of the squad.

Meanwhile, lead star and co-creator of the series Bloom talked about Greg's (Santino Fontana) departure from Rebecca's life. "We always knew this is how it would go," she told TVLine. "And we wanted to completely demolish the love triangle. Other shows have love triangles where the other person leaves. But in the back of your head, you're always rooting for Ross and Rachel. We wanted to do something else, to say, 'No, this just ends.'"

Showrunner Aline Brosh McKenna also chimed in and thought that dragging the love triangle a little longer would not make sense for Greg's personality. He is depicted as a smart guy and, if he continues to insist on his feelings for Rebecca, then he would just lose respect for himself.
