'Covert Affairs' season 5 continue to give its viewers their weekly dose of CIA suspense, and the last season showed how Annie (Piper Perabo) headed to Germany and worked with an ally to expose the wrong doings of chemist, Belenko. Auggie (Christopher Gorham) was the one who discovered the link of Belenko to recent attacks in US soil.

Though this could be a breakout success for the team, the latest episode also presented backlash. It was discovered that Auggie has gone missing, and Ryan McQuaid was the first one to find out and not Annie.

Ryan went to Annie's house and told her that something is not quite right. Joan and Calder also found out about Auggie's disappearance since McQuaid couldn't find Annie right away.

The last episode also revealed the secret plan of Annie's ally in exposing Belenko. The ally reveals that she wants to end Belenko's life, and she would need Annie to be by her side in doing so. The ally wishes to kidnap Belenko, and Annie agrees, since she could easily use Belenko as a "trading chip" to get Auggie back safe and sound.

Meanwhile, Joan's (Kari Matchett) spent some time in the Balkans, and it is being questioned while she sat down for an unannounced polygraph test.
