Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz Fight Rumors: Rafael dos Anjos to face Eddie Alvarez at UFC 200?

UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is not too keen on seeing a repeat of the UFC 196 main card pitting Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for UFC 200.
It will be recalled that Nate Diaz was selected to replace dos Anjos after the Brazilian champion pulled out due to an injury.
Though he was a severe underdog, Diaz surprised many when he won via submission on the Irishman, waylaying any plans McGregor had of moving forward in the lightweight division as of now.
But it seems that the UFC and Dana White are not convinced with the results and want a repeat. This would technically give McGregor a chance to redeem himself from that loss which is not totally surprising.
Just like in the case of Ronda Rousey who has been given priority when it comes to big fights, McGregor is being given the same level of treatment. One reason obviously seen here is that McGregor is a big draw and the UFC wants to make sure that UFC 200 racks in the revenue.
Dos Anjos is however not thrilled to see it, claiming he can defeat both Diaz and McGregor in one night. The champion wanted Diaz as a possible opponent but the UFC reportedly has other plans for him.
@UFCONFOX Mcgregor vs Diaz 2 make no sense, I would beat theses 2 guys on the same night

With that in mind, there is a chance that dos Anjos may end up playing in the middle cards rather than the main event. However, this would depend on who the UFC lightweight champion will be facing.
One opponent could be Eddie Alvarez, the no. 1 lightweight contender. Alvarez is coming off a win over Anthony Pettis and was waiting in the wings for a shot against dos Anjos.
Aside from the win over Pettis, Alvarez also won over Gilbert Melendez. Coming off two straight wins, would that be enough to make the co-main event level for UFC 200?
