'Code Black' season 2 episode 5 spoilers: Mudslide victims and children with measles turn the ER in chaos
Victims of a Malibu mudslide and children with measles get treated by the Angels Memorial team in the upcoming episode 5, titled "Landslide," of the second season of the American medical drama "Code Black."
It's another incredibly busy day for the team of doctors at Angels Memorial. They have to tend to the victims of the landslide in Malibu. Plus, they have to treat a group of children with measles who come from a camping trip. The volume of patients is not the only problem but the children's case could also put the entire emergency room at risk.
A couple of guest appearances are expected in the episode. "Family Ties" alum Meredith Baxter will play as the grandparent of one of the campers. Meanwhile, "The Expendables" star Eric Roberts will play as Mario's father named Vine Savetti.
The promo trailer for "Code Black" season 2 episode "Landslide" shows a chaotic ER in Angels Memorial Hospital. One of the patients from the mudslide may be a victim or a killer after one of the patients accused him of killing her boyfriend. The accused killer reveals to the doctors that he is having a hard time remembering what happened during the mudslide. Meanwhile, tension rises between Will (Boris Kodjoe) and Ethan (Rob Lowe).
Meanwhile, the previous episode, titled "Demons and Angels," saw the team working on Halloween night. Noa (Emily Tyra) and Elliott (Noah Gray Cabey) responded to a fire scene at a haunted theater. Apparently, Nolan (Kathleen Rose Perkins) and her boyfriend's son were among the people who were stuck in the theater.
In other news, Rob Lowe shared on Express UK about playing a role like Noah in "Code Black." He said, "I spent the last five years doing comedy — four years in Parks And Recreation and last year on The Grinder, then Code Black came my way. I've never really done this kind of genre before. I loved the writing and the character is a leading man's dream."
"Code Black" season 2 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
