'Chicago P.D.' Season 2 finale spoilers: Voight's team saves commander Perry's nephew from a corrupt narcotics unit; Lindsay struggling to stay clean

Last week's "Chicago P.D." delivered an action-packed, nail-biting episode in which a case of corporate revenge led to a mass shooting. Viewers who thought it was one of the best episodes of the show will be even more impressed with the season finale.
In episode 23 titled "Born Into Bad News", retired commander Perry asks for help from Voight and his team, reports SpoilersGuide. The team must extract Perry's nephew who also happens to be a cop working in the narcotics department filled with corrupt officers who frequently rob drug dealers. Things take a turn for the worse when Voight is forced to take down a younger, more violent version of himself.
Lindsay's downward spiral continues and she struggles to stay clean. Meanwhile, a woman from Olinsky's past reaches out to him. What concerns fans the most at this point is Lindsay's mental health, as she has taken to heavy drinking due to her guilt for being responsible for Nadia's death. What will happen to Lindsay? Will she stop being a cop? The officer certainly thinks it's better to wallow in self-pity and guilt, instead of doing her job and reaching out to others.
Showrunner Matt Olmstead provided some insights into Sophia Bush's character to TVGuide, "The enormity of the loss and what she's going through might make it real easy to go over to the other the side of the tracks and start having drinks with her mom. A part of her thinks, 'This is where I belonged to begin with,' so it's a fork in the road."
Also, Burgess will regret giving up her place in the intelligence team after getting a taste of it. One of the cliff-hangers in the finale will be Ruzek's decision on where he stands in his relationship with Burgess. Is he really serious about her?
With a guilt-ridden cop, a romantic cliff-hanger and a corrupt narcotic wing within the police department, "Chicago P.D." promises a fascinating season 2 finale on Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
