'Chicago P.D.' season 2 spoilers: crossover with 'Chicago Fire' and 'Law & Order: SVU' features a string of brutal rape and murders in episode 20

"Chicago P.D." fans may not get their regular fix of the police procedural drama for some time as the show goes on a break. But the good news is that, when it is back, it will feature a crossover with "Chicago Fire" and "Law & Order: SVU".
Devout members of the audience know that the three shows are produced by Dick Wolf Films, and this isn't the first time a crossover episode has been done by the company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Walking Dead" star Dallas Roberts will star in the episode as the antagonist Dr. Greg Yates. Yates is described as a charismatic doctor who becomes the prime suspect in a slew of brutal rape and murder cases who has been doing it for the past 10 years.
The NBC shows first attempted a crossover in November that resulted in impressive viewer ratings and has been doing it ever since. Al three shows have been renewed for a new season and is immensely popular with the audience. The two-part crossover airs on April 28 and 29.
The official promotional clip features Mills taking a life-changing decision by leaving the firehouse behind. Benson and Voight work together while one member of the show is in grave danger. The video teases that Lindsay may be Yates' next target as he is seen telling her, "Don't you just hate it when you kidnap a girl and she won't stop kicking the back of your seat?"
Fans of the show are most interested in the Casey-Dawson romance, given their history and palpable chemistry. However, Casey is not yet done with his string of flings. Asked if a possible romance with someone else should be expected, actor Jesse Spencer told TVLine that, "Yes, there is. It's tied into this crossover with P.D. where Jason Beghe's character (Voight) comes over to Fire, and Casey's working at a club. He's doing a build-out of a club, and he does meet someone. I haven't shot it yet or read it, but there is an attraction between him and a certain young female."
