'Chicago Fire' season 5 spoilers: Will Louie have a new dad soon?

(Facebook/NBCChicagoFire)Baby Louie needs a father in "Chicago Fire" season 5.

Baby Louie may or may not have a new foster daddy in the upcoming season of "Chicago Fire." Will Casey (Jesse Spencer) finally ask on-off girlfriend Dawson (Monica Raymund) to be his lawfully wedded wife?

Executive producer Matt Olmstead hinted to TV Line last June that something big is going to happen in the show's 100th episode. He also shared that they have been thinking of a wedding for the couple, but they needed time to prepare for it. The EP said that if there would be a union, it is going to be a huge affair. This is a way to thank the fans for their undying support for "Dawsey."

"We're not averse to that. [However], it's not something that they would do 'shotgun-style' just to facilitate an adoption. They wouldn't do it just for appearances sake. If and when they do it, they'll do it because it's time. We want a big episode, for sure. There may be something big with Casey and Dawson. We're not going to treat it like just any episode," he said.

Marrying just to give little Louie a complete family would certainly be unfair for both. Casey and Dawson deserve to be happy after all the hardships they went through as a couple. They lost their own baby when Dawson had a miscarriage. Louie is actually someone she saved during a fire. When she learned that he was a foster child with no family, she decided to submit a petition for his adoption. The baby quickly wormed his way into Dawson's heart. Casey is equally smitten with him.

Getting married, however, is a big step. According to IB Times, Dawson is still having doubts on Casey's true intention to her. She reportedly feels that he will leave her again just like in the past to pursue his own ambition. It looks like Casey needs to convince Dawson that what he feels for her is true and sincere. Will it be enough?

"Chicago Fire" season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, October 11 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
