'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 2 spoilers: Stella unwilling to let go of Severide

(Facebook/NBCChicagoFire)Stella and Severide's problem continues in the next episode of "Chicago Fire."

Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) has no plans to break up with Severide (Taylor Kinney) in the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."

In the episode titled "A Real Wake-Up Call," the synopsis (as per TV Guide) reveals that the firefighter will decide, once and for all, what she will do to Grant (Guy Burnet). Her deranged ex cannot seem to accept the truth that they are through and continues to cause problems in her new relationship. It has been revealed that no one was injured the night that Grant appeared to be planning to hurt Severide and Stella. The lieutenant, however, was forced to face the indignity of the incident's repercussions.

Severide will reportedly deal with the humiliation in his typical way – by going back to being the city's very own Casanova. The firefighter's playboy persona will return in full force when he meets a socialite. Stella will have no choice but to grit her teeth because of her lover's attitude. Severide is angry that Stella has brought him into that situation. He will attempt to get back at her by showing he can pursue any woman he wants. How will Stella react?

Series co-creator Derek Haas recently talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the couple. According to him, Stella is actually the female version of Severide. From how it looks like, she is not likely to lose her temper on his weak attempt at womanizing. Haas also said that season 5 would be full of twists and turns for Severide. Stella's predicament will bring out the worst in him, but there is also the chance that he will realize she is the one.

"I think Kidd's going to bring up exactly what you said to Severide, and Severide's going to be at a bit of a crossroads. Is he going to be the bar-hopping, girl-hopping Severide that we've seen for four years? Is he going to settle down? Those are some questions that will be asked and answered in the first half of the season," the co-creator shared, according to THR.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
