'Chicago Fire' season 3 spoilers: Chief Pridgen throws Lt. Casey under the bus as Mouch learns he has a child in 'Red Rag The Bull'
NBC's "Chicago Fire" had a teary-eyed farewell last episode as Boden took an extended leave of absence in order to be home and act as a responsible father. Episode 16 sounds even more interesting, especially after the arrival of the much-hated Chief Pridgen to Firehouse 51. His arrival will definitely stir some trouble.
In episode 16 titled "Red Rag The Bull", tensions will mount and careers may be in jeopardy as interim Chief Pridgen decides to throw Lt. Casey under the bus, reports Cinema Blaze. Pridgen makes a tactical error during an apartment fire that lands him in hot water. But being Pridgen, he puts the blame on Casey. This irritates Lt. Severide, who then takes it upon himself to right the wrong.
While Severide seeks to clear the problem, Chief Pridgen tries to enlist the help of Lt. Welch, reports Hollywood Hills. So it is up to Welch to choose between following his supervisor's self-serving orders and attempting to fit in with the members of Firehouse 51. It seems Welch will be making a difficult decision.
Meanwhile, Mouch will also be faced with a crucial decision as he learns that a donation he made at a fertility clinic had resulted in a child. The child, now a young adult, wants to meet him.
Elsewhere, Cruz, Brett and Dawson will go on a double date, despite Cruz's hesitation while Boden focuses his energies at home and being a caring father. Additionally, executive producer Matt Olmstead told TV Guide that Maggie Seaver's introduction last episode was a backdoor pilot to "Chicago Med", another planned spin-off to "Chicago Fire" that will be filmed soon. Olmstead has also successfully produced "Chicago P.D" which is also a spin-off of "Chicago Fire".
