'Call of Duty: Ghosts 2' leak in U.K. game magazine; coming out in November?
First-person shooter video game "Call of Duty: Ghosts" is rumored to get a sequel. According to a report by Fraghero, the rumor started after a scanned publication containing information of a "Call of Duty: Ghosts 2" was found in the U.K. magazine "Games TM." The photo was sent by game enthusiast Mari Fernett, and as seen on the image, it shows a small blurb about the game, along with a picture from the "Ghosts" game. It also indicated a possible release date for the game, which is sometime around November this year.
When interviewed, Fernett revealed that the publication is part of the February issue and is under a feature called "2016 Most Wanted Games." The author of the article wrote that "Call of Duty: Ghosts 2" is among the most-anticipated games for 2016. It also said that Infinity Ward, the development team behind the "Modern Warfare" trilogy and "Ghosts," should step up its game if it wishes to level with its other games.
The information revealed is perplexing since "Games TM" is a respected magazine, thus, it's less likely that it will put up unconfirmed details. There's a possibility that it is an error on the author's or editor's part. But then again, it's also too early to rule out the possibility of the "Call of Duty: Ghosts 2" since it has been revealed that Infinity Ward is busy working on a COD 2016 project.
Fans just did not expect for a sequel to the game, which arrived in 2013 because as detailed in Movie Pilot, the "Call of Duty: Ghosts" is a poorly received title. The source also mentioned that this is the reason why Activision introduced the "Black Ops III Multiplayer Starter Pack," which is a cheaper edition of the game.
As of now, it remains unseen what Activision and Infinity Ward have really in store for their fans, but it's expected that official details will be revealed during the E3 2016.
