'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Descent DLC arrives today for Xbox One and PC

The Descent DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" landed in July for PlayStation 4 users. And after a month of waiting, Xbox One and PC users will finally get their hands on the downloadable content when Descent arrives today, Aug. 11.
Many Xbox One and PC users were disappointed when it was revealed that PlayStation 4 would be the first to get the Descent DLC. That means PS4 gamers will be one month ahead of everyone else. If that's the case, Xbox One and PC gamers will have to catch up. That's just the way it goes since Sony has exclusivity deals with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." However, things are looking up because the one-month wait is almost finally over.
But what can new gamers expect from the Descent DLC?
New maps are in store for fans of the game when Descent is downloaded. The four places included in the DLC are Berserk, Cryogen, Empire and Rumble. For those who are unfamiliar with these maps, here is a brief description of each.
Berserk is a Viking village that will require players to sieze control of the center bridge. However, it will not come easy as there will be blizzards blocking the way as well as chokepoints that will serve to hinder players.
Cryogen, on the other hand, is an isolated area in the Dead Sea. It is a prison wherein some of the world's most fearsome convicts are being kept frozen. The map is shaped in a circle and is dotted with sentry towers that oversee the area.
Empire is not a new map as it has been featured before as Raid. However, this time, the map boasts a Roman vibe and features a combination of new and classic gameplay mechanics.
Lastly, Rumble is a medium-sized map consisting of massive mechanized warriors. Players will have to get to the central arena, but not without battling a few capable enemies, of course.
