'Bones' season 10 finale spoilers: Christopher Pelant is back; Booth and Brennan may quit FBI

"Bones" is nearing the end of its season as its finale airs this Thursday. Many seasoned viewers have been wondering about the fate of their favorite couple, Booth and Brennan. Will the two finally patch up or go their separate ways? All clues seem to point to the latter.

In the season's sensational and action-packed finale, Spoilers Guide states that the Jeffersonian team will investigate the remains of a victim. While it sounds like any other "Bones" episode, what sets this one apart is that the elements of a crime scene point to a possible protégée of serial killer Christopher Pelant.

While Booth did kill the team's arch nemesis during the beginning of season nine, he mentioned a possible protégée before dying. Pelant will make a comeback in a flashback sequence. Fashion & Style reports that actor Andrew Leeds, who essays Pelant's role, will appear in a scene with this protégée. This one seems to be a fascinating episode for "Bones" fans that simply cannot be missed.

The team realizes this connection and starts revisiting their prior work on Pelant while tracking new clues, which will hopefully lead them to the copycat killer. Meanwhile, Angela is skeptical about her and Hodgins' decision to move to Paris. But the husband-wife pair is not the only one contemplating a life outside the FBI and the Jeffersonian team.

Booth and Brennan will also contemplate career options outside of the Jeffersonian. While the episode seems like a series finale, "Bones" has already been renewed for season 11 by FOX. This means that maybe Booth and Brennan will stay with the team and continue catching the bad guys. Then again, anything can happen. Maybe the two can spend some time apart and work on their issues (especially Booth, who still has to deal with his gambling addiction) before returning to season 11.

Episode 22, ominously titled, "The End In The End" airs on Thursday, June 11 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
