"Bones" is proving to be anything but a joy-ride this season as Booth's gambling addiction resurfaces and Brennan goes through an emotional second pregnancy. However, despite their myriad problems and strained relationship, they must work as a team to solve crimes rampantly committed by killers on the loose.

In episode 16 named "The Big Beef At The Royal Diner", the Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a celebrity chef. Hollywood Hills reports that the remains of a popular TV celebrity chef are found at a local park. The team searches for clues in local restaurants that the deceased chef was reviewing before being murdered. The gathered evidence indicates something fishy taking place at the Royal Diner. Incidentally, it is also Booth and Brennan's favorite eatery hence they risk their status as favored patrons and go undercover. The married couple question the staff to glean information.

Hodgins will sell his new invention for millions of dollars. Meanwhile, Brennan will create an anatomically correct song to help Christine in learning about the various bones in the human body. However, Booth's gambling addiction and their strained marriage continue to be a sub-plot for season 10. So, what can fans expect in the finale and episodes leading to it?

TVGuide reports that Booth and Cam will travel to Iran to get back Arastoo when he is kidnapped by an Iranian member of parliament to assist in solving a murder case. In the same episode, Brennan enlists Aubrey's help to protect her and Christine from Booth's menacing Bookies. The May 14 episode is crucial to the finale and will be highly engaging to audiences.

In the season finale, TVLine reports that the team's arch nemesis, Pelant, comes back from beyond the grave in some way. Fans will be surprised by how he returns and in what form. Followers of "Bones" should be cautioned that this may be a series finale, since FOX has yet to renew the show for an eleventh season.
