There is no denying that the success of "Breaking Bad" has led to its stars achieving elusive Hollywood popularity. Bryan Cranston, who was only known for playing Malcolm in the Middle's dad, and Aaron Paul, just a bit actor for multiple television series, are now certified A-listers because of the blockbuster hit of a show. The same can be said for Bob Odenkirk, who is currently starring in his own "Breaking Bad" spinoff, "Better Call Saul."

"Better Call Saul," which first aired in February of this year, follows the life of Saul Goodman six years prior to the events featured in "Breaking Bad" when he was still known as James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill. The first season of the series provided a much needed backstory to the one-dimensional Goodman and while it is not difficult to imagine McGill turning into Saul, it was interesting to see where it all started.

Even Bob Odenkirk has gushed about how different it is playing the role of the same character years apart. In an interview with the wrap he has revealed which incarnation he prefers more. He said,

"I like him (Jimmy) a lot more than I liked Saul Goodman. Now, I enjoyed playing Saul. It was fun, it was a hoot, but I didn't like the guy. He was a sleazy dude, and I don't like people like that."

"I like Jimmy McGill. And I relate to him. I relate to the things that drive him, I relate to his personality. He's kind of unstoppable, he's not going to quit even though he's not getting a lot of positive feedback from the people he loves and the people he cares about and the people he's trying to prove himself to. He's not getting any kind of support, really."

The preparation for the filming of "Better Call Saul" is in full swing. In fact a casting call for extras has already been sent out so it would not be too long until the show will resume shooting.

There is still no announcement regarding the specific premiere date of "Better Call Saul's" second season but it is slated to air early 2016.
