Two months from now, CBS' police procedural drama "Blue Bloods" returns for a seventh season. Before it premieres on the TV screens, the show has recently named two guest stars that fans can look forward to.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Full House" alum Lori Loughlin and "The Sopranos" star Michael Imperioli will join the rest of the team as guest stars for the premiere episode of season 7.

Loughlin is set to play a widow of a slain police officer named Grace. She asks Frank's (Tom Selleck) help to convince her son not to pursue being a police officer, fearing that his son could end up like her deceased husband. Meanwhile, Imperioli will portray the role of Miller, a lawyer in the attorney general's office who leads in probing Danny Reagan and the serial killer Thomas Wilder's death.

Meanwhile, actor Tom Selleck is confirmed to return for season 7 to play as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan. Deadline broke the news last week, at the beginning of season 7's production. Frank is the main lead and the patriarch of a multigenerational family of police in New York City. He is known to run his department strictly as what is said on the rules and he emulates the same technique in running his family.

The upcoming season will see another side of Frank as he will have a new love interest. Frank has been single for a long time after his wife died. To give Frank a chance of having a new source of happiness and strength, he will finally be getting back to the dating world. His relationship with this mysterious woman could be one of the season's main focus.

The season 6 finale of the police procedural drama saw the public outrage after the grand jury did not indict an NYPD officer who is involved in a shooting of a teen.

"Blue Bloods" returns with season 7 on Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
