Vampire aficionados were quite stoked when it was announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel Comics' "All-New, All Different" movement includes a reboot of the "Blade" series. According to those in the know, the revamped comic book line would focus more on 16-year-old, Fallon Grey, Blade's daughter.

Naturally, the news also engendered rumors that a new "Blade" movie is in the works and would also feature the half-human/half-vampire's daughter. While the rumors of another "Blade" movie have been making the rounds for a while now, some sources say that the film might finally get go-ahead in the very near future.

However, there will reportedly be big changes if a new "Blade" movie will indeed push through. Since it will revolve more around Fallon Grey and less on the original badass vampire hunter himself, viewers will be treated to a more wholesome movie, or at least, as wholesome as a movie about a vampire hunter can be.

According to comic book artist, Tim Seeley, Fallon Grey is one of the most popular girls in her school, known for both her looks and her brains. But she has always felt that there was something more inside of her. When "supernatural forces hunt Fallon, she'll come face to face with something even more shocking than the monsters on her tail" — that Eric Brooks, her father, is "Blade."

It's still uncertain whether Wesley Snipes would be able to reprise his role as "Blade." However, the actor did mention that he had some meetings with Marvel Studios at the start of the year and there was a discussion about the possibility of a "Blade 4."

According to Snipes, the rumored "Blade 4" "is controlled by Marvel" and while they had a "really productive and a wonderful meeting," nothing has been decided yet.

It would make sense for the next "Blade" movie to focus on the next-generation of vampire hunters since the trend recently have been more on reboots or a reimagining of popular movies. And if the studio can get Snipes to reprise his role, fans of the vampire hunter will surely be on hand for support.
