'Better Call Saul' season 3 trailer, news: Jimmy McGill in jail, trailer reveals
A number of TV shows didn't make it to 2017, but AMC's crime drama TV series "Better Call Saul" isn't one of them. A trailer for season 3 was recently released, giving its loyal viewers a taste of the upcoming season when it returns this spring.
AMC recently launched the first trailer for "Better Call Saul" season 3. Although it's rather brief, the clip teases Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) arrest. Perhaps his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) did use the recording against him.
The teaser shows Jimmy in a police station. He appears to be getting processed, as well as photographed so he could serve jail time. The video, however, doesn't exactly reveal that he is in there because of his brother. The Independent suspects that it could still be due to another offense, and that Chuck could only be using the video to blackmail Jimmy.
To recap, Jimmy told his brother about how he messed with the Mesa Verde documents so that his girlfriend can seal the deal. Little did he know that his brother had recorded his admission to a felony on tape. Chuck hid the tape in the room prior to their conversation.
For the uninitiated, "Better Call Saul" is a spin-off prequel of "Breaking Bad." In the series, viewers will learn how the original series' criminal lawyer James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill turned into the shady lawyer that he is. McGill, however, is better known by his trade name, Saul Goodman, in the prequel.
AMC has yet to announce a specific premiere date for "Better Call Saul" season 3, but the network did confirm that the upcoming season will air sometime in spring 2017.
"#BetterCallSaul is back in the line-up this spring," shared the official Twitter page of the series.
More updates are expected to launch in the weeks to come.
