Season 4 of the Cinemax series "Banshee" may end in bloodshed with main character Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) dead at the hands of crime lord Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen).

The International Business Times posits that the ex-con and master thief may end up dead at the end of the current installment. In the past, "Banshee" has used shocking and unanticipated endings that left the viewers in disbelief. The death of Lucas, if it is indeed in the cards, will be the crowning glory of the series who has captivated many with its twists and turns.

Lucas, who has taken the identity of the Banshee sheriff, will reportedly succumb to the deadly attack of Proctor. In the teaser, Lucas can be seen standing dumbstruck in front of a burning house. This is purportedly Proctor's latest attempt to end his life. The crime lord has been after Lucas for a long time. He has been tracking his former gang member whom he believes to be the primary reason why he spent a long time in prison.

Meanwhile, the promo also gives a glimpse of Eliza Dushku, one of the newest additions to the cast. The actress plays the role of a secretive FBI agent named Veronica Dawson. Dushku previously shared how excited she was after getting a call from co-creator Jonathan Tropper, offering her a slot in the show. She said she was about to head to Boston and attend summer school when she was presented with the job.

Dushku is joined by Ana Ayora and Casey LaBow to complete the roster of new characters set to put the television screens on fire. Ayora is Nina Cruz, a Banshee deputy who is Proctor's inside man, while LaBow is Maggie, the wife of local Aryan Brotherhood leader.

"Banshee" season 4 premieres on Friday, April 1 at 10 p.m. EST on Cinemax.
