'Attack on Titan' season 2 spoilers: 'Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress' nears end, sign of season 2's release?

Renewed rumors about the second season of the hit anime series, "Attack on Titan," have been making rounds on the Internet because the freshman anime "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" is about to wrap up.
Director of "Attack on Titan" Wit Studio's Tetsuro Araki is also the same director who helmed the post-apocalyptic anime "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." According to rumors, one of the reasons why the former title was delayed because Araki is busy creating the Iron Fortress. Now that one more episode is left until the first season closes, many fans are wondering if this could mean "Attack on Titan" will be next in line.
It has been nearly three years since the first season of the anime adaptation of the hit manga wrapped up. However, there is no recent official word from the animation studio or the director released regarding the progress of "Attack on Titan."
A leaked video, claiming to be the second season's preview, went viral after it was uploaded on YouTube last year. The clip, which was recorded from a screening, featured Hanji and a squad from the Scouting Legion looking stunned at a dormant Titan's face that surfaced in a hole of the city's protective walls.
A priest then demands Hanji and the squad not to let the Titan be exposed to the sunlight. The veteran member of the Survey Corps asks the priest about the Titan, but he chooses not to disclose anything, even though she threatened to throw him on the other side of the wall.
According to other reports, fans will be seeing new faces next season including former leader of the Anti-Personal Control squad Captain Kenny Ackerman, and the mysterious Titan Shifter named Zeke "Beast Titan." Revelations in season 2 will also include Uri Reiss as the King of Mankind.
"Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" season 1 finale could mean that Wit Studio will give more of its focus on the second season of "Attack on Titan." More details about the anime will soon be announced.
