The 85th chapter of "Attack on Titan" will soon be out. And ahead of its release, there are already reports pointing to the possible plot and storylines that the said chapter will depict when it arrives.

One of the most popular theories is that of Eren's back story. Rumor has it that fans will finally be able to understand how Eren came about and what his connection is with the great Dr. Yeager, who is not just one of the first titan shifters in history but is also the renowned specialist who was saved people from a virus that could have been fatal if not reversed back in the days.

It is believed that "Attack on Titan" chapter 85 will focus on the search for Dr. Yeager's mysterious basement or laboratory where he most likely tried to come up with the antidote that could have turned humans back to their original forms.

If Eren and the Survey Corps. are able to infiltrate the secret lab, it is easy to conclude that fans will finally peel away the layers of Titan history as Eren and the group will get a good look at how Dr. Yeager studied and did thorough research on the Titans.

Meanwhile, other reports suggest that "Attack on Titan" chapter 85 will also reveal the truth behind Armin's purported ability to read through the memories of Colossal Titan.

However, some fans have doubted this ability since Eren, who is a Titan shifter, should also have the same abilities that any human-turned-Titan has. If Armin has access to the past of the Colossal Titan, Eren should also have a clear view of his father's memories, thus giving him an easier link towards the basement that he is searching for.

Also, some fans have pointed out that the Reiss clan is the only group that has the power to look into the memories of a Titan, and if even Eren or other Titan shifters on the good side are also able to do this, there would be no thrill in the plot anymore.
