With only two teams left in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks face the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Philips Arena in Game 1 of the conference finals.

The NBA playoff match is on May 20, 2015 at 8:30 PM ET.

Holding the best record in the East, the Hawks will have the home court advantage, which will be useful against the tough Cleveland squad.

Led by LeBron James, the Cavaliers are seriously considered as a championship squad and are only eight wins away from giving James his third title.

After already eliminating their fierce rivals the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland are clicking at the right moment despite being hobbled by injuries.

Kevin Love is out of the rest of the post-season due to a shoulder injury, while Kyrie Irving has been down with a leg problem.

However, the newly-acquired duo Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith have proved to be perfect fits in the Cavs' mold and have made big plays in the absence of some of the big-named stars.

Matthew Dellavedova has also come up big for Cleveland in the absence of Irving, making big plays and disrupting their opponents with his solid defense.

They will need to fire on all cylinders if they want to stop the soaring Hawks.

Patterned from the successful plays of the San Antonio Spurs, the Hawks have molded the team to perfectly complement each other and get the most from their stars.

Jeff Teague has been spectacular at the point, with Dennis Schroder coming up as a great back-up.

Kyle Korver has continued his hot shooting to burn their opponents from beyond the arc, while the front-line of DeMarre Carroll, Paul Millsap and Al Horford have been a nightmare match-up for most teams.

They have overachieved for the most part, but are now starting to show that they are made to run deep in the playoffs. Game 1 will be a stiff test of just how good the team is as they face a hungry Cleveland squad with arguably the best player on the planet.
