'American Horror Story' season 6 air date, cast, plot news, spoilers: Lady Gaga confirmed for AHS6?
With the "American Horror Story" season 6 set to come out in the fall, fans of the horror anthology series must be going out of their minds with the waiting game that's getting on for the final cast reveal. Already confirmed returning are Sarah Paulson ("American Crime Story") and Angela Bassett ("London Has Fallen").
To Entertainment Weekly, Bassett gave a fair idea of her role, as well as bit of Paulson's based on what Ryan Murphy, one of the creators of the show, has described to her.
"He did tell me at the Golden Globes that I would imbibe a little bit too much and yet I was very intuitive also and maybe Sarah [Paulson] was somehow the boss of me," shared Bassett.
But fans are still waiting for FX to confirm whether other favorites would be back on the list, such as Emma Roberts ("Scream Queens"), Evan Peters ("X-Men: Apocalypse"), and Jessica Lange who formerly played the role Gaga took over in season 5, as well as several other roles including Constance Langdon and Fiona Goode, respectively, in "Murder House" and "Coven."
Bassett had also shared that it had been an "exciting experience" working with Lady Gaga in the last season, and she was of the opinion that the pop-star-turned-small-screen actress would return for the upcoming season.
Bassett expressed, "I hear, I think, perhaps that she's out to return. She had a good time with us."
Murphy also posted a tweet back in October asking Gaga to join season 6.
And so months after being asked, "Born for You" singer Gaga, who played the character of The Countess to the music of her first Golden Globe award for her performance in the fifth season, gave her answer.
She has said on a radio interview with Z100 that she will be rejoining "AHS" but could not give more details.
"I can't promise you how or when or anything like that," the pop singer said during the interview.
Murphy also gave out some details on what the AHS viewers may expect from the next helping. On Entertainment Weekly, he revealed, "The next thing we're crafting up is very, very different than this (American Horror Story: Hotel)." And added, "Not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark."
And the bigger news is that, according to Murphy, this year, AHS might have "a fall American Horror Story and a spring. We have to decide."
